Two weeks hiking in the Dolomites, Italy

On the 1st of July, I went on a hiking trip to the Dolomites with my two friends Daniel and Ruth for two weeks.

Day thirteen - Sunday 13th July

We spent the whole of Sunday in Trento, seeing the sights, of which there were quite a number. We went to the cathedral for its morning service, which was very interesting, if somewhat non-participatory. Outside the cathedral was a line of washing machines. At first we thought it was a washing machine sale, but it turned out that it was actually an art exhibition. There used to be an open river channel running through the square, and that is where the townspeople would gather to wash their clothes, so the artist was trying to recreate that feel with a line of washing machines. I think we saw them being actually used just once.

We then wandered round one of the parks, where there were quite a few monuments of some kind.

The city had lots of wonderful buildings with murals.
