Holiday on Arran and the Lake District
Day eight - 5th November
On day eight, I walked along Yewdale Crags to Elterwater Youth Hostel.
It rained a lot at first, and I discovered that my rain coat was not waterproof.
It held up for about half an hour, then soaked it all up.
My bag soaked up a lot too - I left everything in the drying room that night, and the next morning repacked and thought my bag felt very light.
I had got used to carrying that extra water around.
